Our Principles

Nakotah Indigenous Enterprise operates according to a set of principles that guide its mentoring, programmes and partnerships. These principles ensure that enterprise development remains grounded in cultural respect, ethical leadership and community responsibility.

• Indigenous Leadership – Indigenous founders and knowledge holders must be able to lead and shape their own enterprises and narratives.

• Cultural Integrity – Enterprises should respect cultural knowledge, traditions and community responsibilities.

• Community Benefit – Sustainable enterprise should contribute positively to communities and future generations.

• Ethical Collaboration – Partnerships should be based on mutual respect, transparency and fairness.

• LongTerm Thinking – Enterprise development should prioritise resilience, sustainability and stewardship rather than shortterm extraction.

Participants and collaborators are expected to uphold the Nakotah Indigenous Founder Code of Ethics.
